The BCH has ongoing needs for building and infrastructure projects at the Bon Children’s Home itself and in the village of Dolanji. Some of the most pressing projects are:

Multi-Purpose Hall. The BCH seeks money to build a new multi-purpose hall. This hall would be used for study, programs, and cultural events. At this time there is no separate facility that can be used for these functions, so they are generally held outdoors. This is difficult for the children during the winter and the monsoon season.

Dormitory and Housing. There is an ongoing need for funds to maintain and upgrade existing dormitory facilities. We need money for beds, mattresses, blankets, pillows, cleaning supplies, and other items to maintain the housing facilities. The buildings alone require annual maintenance of approximately $2000.

Electric Power. BCH, along with the village of Dolanji as a whole, is not served by a reliable electrical power source. Plans have been prepared for a supplemental power source, using a combination of solar panels and diesel generator.

Water Supply. The current water supply system is insufficient to provide enough clean water for the village of Dolanji. We need to drill a new well and install the water supply system.

Medical Clinic. The BCH has a basic medical clinic, staffed by a trained health care worker, that provides basic first aid and medication. More serious cases must be taken to hospitals in near by towns. The basic maintenance of this clinic costs approximately $5000 per year, and if children need to be taken to other hospitals for more serious care, the cost increase dramatically
